I love integrating science into my classroom. For this project, students researched an animal from the rainforest then presented their research to the class. Afterwards, each student drew his or her animal on a large sheet of paper. After much planning, the students outlined their drawing with contrasting crayons then painted with watercolors. This was a wonderful experience for the students and they enjoyed learning about all of the animals and the importance of preserving the rainforests.
